Grow a Garden 2 Pets: Abilities, Prices & Spawn Claims

Search 17 published GAG2 pet records by name, role and ability, then inspect every NPC-price, spawn and obtainment conflict. Current pages disagree on Monkey, Golden Dragonfly, Unicorn, Raccoon, Black Dragon and Ice Serpent instead of supporting one clean “official” table.

Page-type match

Searchers expect a database

Leading pages for “Grow a Garden 2 pets list” expose searchable tables, rarity groups, abilities, prices and obtainment. This page follows that lookup-first format instead of stretching the existing editorial tier list into a second intent.

Largest conflict

Black Dragon changed jobs

Older tables describe a 1M map-spawn defender that burns intruders. A newer July page describes a guild reward that eats ripe fruit and lays Common Eggs. Both claims remain visible; neither is silently promoted to official truth.

Roster drift

12, 13, 14 and 17 are all published

Older databases omit Turtle or newer additions. Butterfly, Bald Eagle and Firefly expand later 17-pet rosters but have thinner independent coverage. A union record is not proof that every pet is simultaneously obtainable.

Ability roles answer different jobs

Frog and Bunny change player movement. Owl supports night awareness. Deer, Butterfly and Firefly are described as growth helpers, while Robin and Monkey automate parts of harvesting. Turtle exchanges movement speed for inventory space.

Golden Dragonfly and Unicorn are mutation-support claims. Bee, Bear, Bald Eagle and Ice Serpent focus on defense. Raccoon serves the opposite side of the same nighttime system by stealing from empty gardens. Black Dragon cannot be assigned one trustworthy current role because reviewed pages conflict.

Role filtering helps locate a relevant ability; it does not measure effectiveness, cooldown, stacking or return on cost. For editorial usefulness rankings, use the separate three-source pet tier consensus.

NPC price is not trade value

Prices here are published map- or lobby-purchase claims. They do not represent a completed player trade, real-money marketplace offer, rarity premium, Big/Mega/Rainbow variant value or future resale value.

Monkey appears at both 1M and 3M. Golden Dragonfly appears at 3M and 9M, Unicorn at 4M and 12M, and Raccoon at 5M and 15M. Newer sources also replace price claims for Black Dragon and Ice Serpent with guild-reward obtainment.

Check the current in-game label before spending. For egg probability rather than map-spawn price, use the GAG2 egg chances audit.

Source ledger

Six reviewed pet databases and guides

Agreement does not automatically mean independent confirmation: several publishers can reuse the same wiki or screenshots. The source IDs stay attached to each price claim in the downloadable release.

Download the exact pet-source snapshot

The JSON release contains all 17 records, source-specific price claims, ability summaries, obtainment labels and evidence status. The manifest publishes byte size and SHA-256 so future revisions can supersede this snapshot without rewriting its history.

  • No pet, price, spawn chance, ability, obtainment path or variant was reproduced in game by this publisher.
  • Agreement can reflect shared wiki or screenshot lineage rather than independent observations.
  • The 12-, 13-, 14- and 17-pet rosters represent different dates and scopes.
  • Prices are NPC or obtainment claims, not player trade values or real-money offers.
  • The page is not a live pet-spawn feed, notifier, countdown, purchase recommendation or official table.

Grow a Garden 2 pets FAQ

How many GAG2 pets are there?

Reviewed pages publish rosters of 12, 13, 14 and 17 pets. This page shows the 17-name union while preserving which later pets have limited source coverage.

What is the best GAG2 pet?

This database does not convert ability descriptions into one best pet. The separate tier page compares three editorial rankings and shows where those sources agree or disagree.

Are the listed spawn chances live?

No. They are dated community-published claims. The page has no server feed, current spawn state, timer or next-pet predictor.

Why are Black Dragon claims conflicting?

Older pages describe a priced map-spawn defender; a newer page describes a guild reward that lays Common Eggs. No in-game reproduction was available to resolve the change.
