Source-by-source evidence
S, A, B, and C are copied as classifications, not as prose. A dash means that source did not rank the pet; it does not mean C tier. “Consensus” requires all available sources to agree, while “majority” means two of three agree.

Largest disagreement
Pro Game Guides values Robin's chance to return seeds and ranks it S. Beebom and IndiaTimes both rank it C. A numerical average would land near B, but none of the reviewed editors actually chose B. We therefore preserve the disagreement instead of manufacturing false agreement.
Coverage boundary
Phoenix, Fox, Cat, Chicken, Duck, and Dog appear only in the IndiaTimes roster among these three sources. They are retained in the downloadable exclusion list but omitted from consensus counts until another reviewed ranking corroborates them.
We record the visible tier assignments and source date. Later edits require a new dataset release rather than silently changing this snapshot.
If a source does not rank a pet, its value remains null. Missing coverage is never converted into a low tier.
Three matching votes are unanimous. Two matching votes form a majority. A large split such as Robin's remains disputed.
Mutation, defense, stealing, farming, and mobility labels summarize ability purpose. They do not add hidden points to the editorial vote.
These are independent editorial guides, not official game data. Their criteria overlap around farming utility, mutation support, defense, and stealing, but each editor weighs those roles differently. That is why the individual votes stay visible.

Bear, Black Dragon, Ice Serpent, and Unicorn are the only pets placed in S tier by all three dated rankings reviewed here. They do different jobs: three focus on defense, while Unicorn supports Rainbow mutations.
Two sources rank Raccoon S and one ranks it A. We show it as majority S rather than unanimous S. Its stealing role also makes its value dependent on how much you use the nighttime stealing system.
Robin receives C tier from Beebom and IndiaTimes but S tier from Pro Game Guides. Averaging that into B would create a tier no source actually assigned, so the honest label is disputed.
No. Editorial usefulness tiers and player trade values are different datasets. This release compares ability-based rankings and does not claim live completed-trade prices.
