The first three expansions total only 1,040,500 Sheckles. The final two add 240,000,000, which is why an early-game guide can feel correct while still missing almost the entire endgame cost.

When should you expand your plot?
“Buy as soon as you can afford it” ignores reserve cash, utilization and night risk. A better decision checks whether the new capacity can actually earn and survive.
1. Existing fields stay occupied
If current space is regularly empty, more space magnifies an execution problem. Measure a normal session before assuming capacity is the constraint.
2. Cash remains after purchase
Expansion price is not the complete setup cost. Keep enough Sheckles for the seeds, gear and normal cycle needed to use the new fields.
3. Harvest throughput can scale
Two more fields only help when you can plant and collect them within the same routine. Tall crops, inventory limits and travel time can reduce utilization.
4. Loss exposure is controlled
Decay, missed harvests and night stealing reduce retained output. Enter a loss percentage in the calculator instead of assuming every crop becomes revenue.

This separates capacity from realized output. For example, 90% utilization and 10% expected loss retain 81% of the theoretical new-field profit. The result is still a scenario, not a promise: crop prices, growth, mutations and player behavior can change.

The table is strongest where three independent current sources repeat the same numbers. It is weaker where only one community page supplies the “two fields per step” detail. No reviewed Roblox endpoint publishes either claim.

When should I expand my plot?
Expand when existing space is consistently occupied, the purchase does not destroy your working reserve, and the added fields have a realistic planting, harvesting and defense plan. Empty or repeatedly stolen fields do not create the modeled return.
How does the expansion payback calculator work?
It multiplies added fields by your net profit per occupied field per harvest, utilization and retained share after expected loss, then divides by the harvest cycle. Cost divided by that incremental profit rate gives modeled payback time.
Does the calculator use live prices or profit?
No. Only the dated expansion-cost preset is prefilled. Current cash, profit rate, harvest economics, utilization, expected loss and play time are user inputs so the tool does not pretend to know a live server economy.
Does a larger plot guarantee more profit?
No. It increases capacity. Actual return depends on keeping the new fields planted, harvesting them, avoiding decay, and protecting crops from night stealing. The planner deliberately discounts unused and lost output.
